Dear Madam Mariah,
How have you been with your work and health? I wish everything goes well with you.
How time flies! It’s my second year in the Medicine school in the Northwest University for Nationalities. I achieved all my accomplishments today with your help and care. I’m really grateful for your financial aids which helped me to make my determinations possible. Believing that I can do better by working more diligently, I will keep improving myself and will not take your help and encouragement for granted by becoming a useful man for the society.
I always believe that effort pays. My overall result in the first school year is quite acceptable with a GPA of 3.28. The school also granted me Grade-2 scholarship to reward my academic performances. Besides internal academic results, I also passed my National Grade-4 English test and Grade-2 IT tests last year. The results are still not very ideal, but I will keep up working to upgrade myself. My average in term 1 of the second year has improved to 3.5 and I’m more confident now that I can do better in the future.
Since I am so distant form you, I can wish you to take care of yourself through this letter. I am very thankful and praying for you everyday hoping that Allah can grant you happiness and good health. You are my moral model and I am going to keep learning from you to make myself a benevolent person to the people and society.
Yours, faithfully

Dear Madam Mariah,
How are you? I would like to say ‘thank you’ to you for all your help and sponsoring. I’m really grateful that you have been spending so much time to help the poor students from Western China.
I graduated from the Xiji Muslim Secondary School in Guyuan city, Ningxia in 2008. As one of the sponsored students, I am currently studying chemical engineering and industrial design in the Northwest University for Nationalities in Lanzhou, Gansu province. I came from a very low-income family in Xiji county and for years my whole family has been relying on the wages earned by my father who went out to work and farming in the almost desolated fields. Until now, I can still remember how my parents desperately hoped that I can be admitted to college while how helpless they were facing the high school fees after my admission. At this very mean time, I received your sponsorship from Xiji and my whole family was so happy and surprised. Words are really not enough for me to express my thankfulness and I hope you can accept my appreciation in this short letter.
The 2000-yuan sponsorship was not only a big relief for my family but also an encouragement for me to fight determinately for my destiny. I planned for ever cent last year and finished three-eighth of my academic syllabus with the help of your sponsorship and encouragements.
I should have gone to work for my school fees last year since my family is still in a too poor a condition to pay for me. Unexpected things usually happen suddenly, my mother broke her wrist during last winter holiday and I had to stay home to help her with housework. This is the only way I can help to relieve their living pressure. At the end of the holiday, my parents started to run around borrowing money for my younger brother’s secondary school fees. I couldn’t ask them for mine anymore and I really have to dependent on you again.
My parents went around the whole county and they could just borrow enough fees to pay for the bus. Everyone is so poor to even give a hand to others. School is going to start soon and I am so worried that I would have to resign since I can afford the living expenditure and school fees. I really hope that I can receive your help again.
Once again, I hope I can express my appreciation through this letter. Words are really not enough to show my thankfulness. I promise that I would work diligently on my academic works and hold a heart of kindness and care in the society. Only by doing so can I honor your help and encouragement. I am really grateful for all your sponsoring, thank you!
Yours, truly

As a boy from a remote village, I couldn’t be able to study in a city without my parents’ support, the help and encourage from all the benevolent people like you and my determination to change my life and parents’. I am really thankful to the kind people who helped me so much. I cannot make sure that I can become an icon or a great man in my future, but I will work hard and do my best to make everyone’s help worth it!
This is my last year in college already. The school has started but I am really in financial crisis since I didn’t receive my education loan. I hope youe can still help me with my last year in school.
Once again, I would like to show my appreciation for your help. We are all so grateful for your care and financial help. I wish everything the best to you.

Dear Madam Mariah,
Greeting from Zhou.
First of all, I really want to thank you for your care and help. Due to poverty condition and low income, the money earned by my parents are hardly enough to pay for my school fees and living expenditure. For many times my parents have been worrying about my education expenditure and I am always so hesitated about my future. It was your sponsorship that brought us the hope. I’m really grateful for your financial help; it gave me the opportunity to continue my education. I know clearly how uneasy this opportunity is and I have been working very hard for it. I understand that only by studying hard to learn more knowledge can I make my achievements to pay back those who helped me. I can always feel the support from you, my parents and everyone who helped me. You give me the strength and determination whenever there is any hardship. I have also participated in social services to accumulate more experiences and responsibilities as a citizen in this society.
On top of that, I also participated in various activities in school to develop myself holistically. I was rewarded with all kinds of achievements and trophies! In the past, I used to think how unfortunate I am. However, now I think that I m really lucky. This is because I have received so many helps and supports form you, my parent, my teachers and my classmates. I have a much clearer vision and goal for my future mow and I will join in my social events to make myself more mature and responsible.
The sponsorship really gave me great help. It helped me to fulfill my dreams and largely relieved my family’s pressure. I will spend every cent wisely and do my works diligently. I will keep improving myself to achieve better in the future. I really can find words to express my thankfulness and I can say most sincerely “thank you”. You brought me the hope that I would
never forget in my life and I will use my time and strength to build a better future as a return.
I really think my parents are so busy and tired with their livelihood. My father found a job with stable salary but dangerous since he wants me and my brother to have a better life. He is bearing the burden of the whole family. My tears can help to drop whenever I saw my father’s white hair. He worked so hard and he always keeps the hardships to himself. My parents never mentioned that they are tired in front of us. I am so glad to have such good parents and I am really grateful to them for giving me my life and teaching me how to be a good person.
Once again, I am really thankful for your continuous help, care and encouragements. The sponsorship really gave me a great help and hope for my future. You helped me to gain my confidence to compete with others. I hope I can receive the sponsorship this year again and thank you very much.
Yours sincerely,
