Halal Food

The arabic word (Halal) means lawful. In the Holy Quran, Allah commands Muslims and all of mankind to eat only Halal food. There are many verses in the Quran which convey this message. Hence there are several food-stall and restaraunt located in China providing halal food. Below shows some of these pictures:

"And eat of the things which Allah has provided for you, lawful and good; but fear Allah in whom alone you believe." (Al-Maidah:88)

In other words, Halal is a Quranic term which also means 'Allowed'. Halal foods and drinks are permitted for consumption by Allah S.W.T - the Supreme Law Giver. Eating Halal is obligatory on every Muslim.

There are famous food and snacks available here in China, among them are:

  • "He Zhou Dumpling", in the Linxia,
  • "Lanzhou Muslim Beef Noodle",
  • "Hand-Clutching Rice" in the Xinjiang,
  • "Whole Bake Goat" in the Xinjiang,
  • "Nang" (Pancake) in the Xinjiang

Besides the delicious food, there are numerous fruits like peach and melon in the Lanzhou, apricot in the Dongxiang Hami melon and grape orchard in the Dongxiang Hami melon and grape orchard in the Xinjiang. The strong sunshine, sand-earth and weather make the fruits produced here sweet and fragrant. The different fruits grown in their respective seasons since there are four seasons in China.

Yunnan province, which is located in the South of China, is another destination for the discovery of Muslim Community with the different customs in a different evironment.
